Maria Malone has been a professional makeup artist since 2008, beginning her career at the Barbican Theatre straight after college. Since then, she has built an extensive portfolio across theatre, television, film, commercial and celebrity makeup.
Her credits include West End productions such as Rock of Ages and Viva Forever!, as well as television shows including Comic Relief, Horrible Histories, Dancing on Ice and Strictly Come Dancing. Her film work includes Disney’s Aladdin, Ant-Man 3 and Netflix’s The Pentaverate. Maria has also worked with leading brands including Dior, NYX, Kryolan, Boots UK and Google, alongside numerous celebrity clients.
Maria gained international recognition for her viral Famous Faces trend, combining her background in portrait painting with body art to create the illusion of painting famous faces over her own. The trend reached audiences worldwide and led to international television appearances.
With over 10 years of international teaching experience, Maria continues to balance her professional work with education, sharing her industry knowledge, creativity and passion for makeup artistry with the next generation of artists.
