IMA OPEN DAY APRIL 2024 – ‘DARK DISNEY’

On the last weekend of April, The Iver Makeup Academy opened its doors for another Open Day Event, drawing in a crowd of aspiring makeup artists and film enthusiasts for this terms theme of ‘Dark Disney’. Being known for its top- tier training in the Film, TV, Fashion and Theatre industries, IMA provided an in depth look at what it offers.

Live demonstrations showcased various makeup techniques, from special effects to high fashion looks. IMA Students and Graduates transformed models, providing tips and insights throughout the process. We also had IMA Tutor Stuart Bray, showcasing his take on the 1940’s character Chernabog.

Throughout the day, attendees were able to speak 1-1 with our industry tutors such as Tamsin Barbosa, Joceline Andrews and IMA Principle Liz Tagg, to ask any questions about their previous work and what life is like as a Hair and Makeup Artist.

IMA graduates answered questions about the industry and career opportunities. Alumni shared their experiences, illustrating how the academy’s training helped them succeed after graduating.

As the Open Day drew to an end, attendees left with a clear understanding of The Iver Makeup Academy’s approach to education and the opportunities it offers. The Open day was informative and inspiring, providing a glimpse into the world of professional makeup!
