Who We Are
The Iver Makeup Academy based in the heart of Pinewood Studios is the only independent Further Education training school for makeup, hair and SFX artists. Our Advanced Course is industry recognised and accredited by ScreenSkills Select. This is the industry-led skills body for the UK’s screen-based industries, and carries the ScreenSkills quality mark which indicates courses best suited to prepare students for a career in the screen industries.
Industry Recognition That Matters
The Iver Makeup Academy Advanced Certificate is accredited by ScreenSkills Select, the quality mark awarded by the UK’s screen industry skills body to courses best suited for preparing students for professional careers in the screen industries. This is not a generic educational accreditation; it is the specific endorsement of the industry the course is designed to serve.
We are proud to be part of the BAFTA Scholarship Programme, and are the only makeup academy whose students have been awarded multiple BAFTA Scholarships for training on our Advanced Course. Our partnership with the National Film and Television School further extends the professional network and progression pathways available to our graduates. These are professional endorsements from the organisations that define standards in the UK screen and film industries.

Our tutors are not former industry professionals; they are active practitioners who continue to work on productions alongside their teaching at the academy. The award nominations held collectively across the Iver teaching team reflect the continued professional standing of the people delivering your training.
