In 2019, I was able to spend some time on the set of a Netflix production in Ireland, which I loved. I realised that this was the perfect time to transfer my skills and years of knowledge to this industry. Those few days alone gave me a ‘fire in the belly’ that I couldn’t ignore! I have a lot of experience but I’m aware that that has been mainly outside Film and TV. Having worked for 20 years in hairdressing and 7 years with makeup, this isn’t on-screen so would love to work on upcoming productions. With my experience in show work, education and working as part of a team, I’m confident that I will prove to be an asset to you either as crew or dailies. I worked in salons for 12 years. During this time, I held the positions of Principal Stylist and Head Educator for the Artisan salon network. As well as being selected for the ‘Young Hairdresser of The Year’ TV program on the BBC, I also entered and won shows which led to me becoming a Platform Artist for Redken in 2006 at the age of 21. I was the youngest artist at the time, on a team that included Andrew Barton and Lee Stafford. For this role, I completed the Redken Certified Colourist training, along with supporting the creation of manuals, formulas and training for all Redken salons in the UK. After moving to a freelance hair and makeup role, which includes events, I was asked to represent Redken as an Educator, which involved travelling to salons around London and educating their teams on advanced techniques and product training. I have worked on many events doing hair and make up. I have recently finished my up-skilling at Iver Make up Academy and am ready to bring all this knowledge to the industry.
