Amy Loring

I have had 4 years experience of working as a freelance makeup and hair artist with basis in London and Cardiff. Full UK driving licence and able to travel worldwide. Previous work has been in live broadcast TV, VIP talent, E-commerce, Commercials, Music Videos and Live events. I am also trained in SFX and hair styling, cutting and barbering and have experience working on set in a film environment.

– Daily HD appropriate make-up and hair for 6 news presenters within a 10 minute time frame
– Budget control and buying stock for the makeup department including record keeping
– Creating a positive, safe space for all of the talent to relax and cool off before studio call time

– Working with a talk back radio to run on and off set when required to touch up on background artists
– Applying period style makeup on to the stunt men and background artists
– Taking photos on the iPad continuously for continuity throughout scenes

– Prep day with the designer to curate an editorial 60’s, “Twiggy” inspired glam makeup look that fits the collection for e-commerce.
– Communicating with the photographer to step into the studio space when appropriate for touch up’s and minor alterations.

MUSIC VIDEO – SKUNKADELIC (RED BRCK LTD)
African Body painter for VIP talent
– Extensive research behind African tribes and the heritage of the artist to design a tribal body piece personal to the talent.
– Detailed tribal painting on the upper torso of the artist in a 3 hour time frame on location.
