Goodbye 2024, Hello 2025!

As 2024 comes to a close, we at The Iver Makeup Academy are taking a moment to reflect on what has been an extraordinary year of growth, creativity, and success. From groundbreaking achievements by our talented students graduates and tutors to inspiring collaborations and events, this year has truly been one for the books. Let’s take a look back at the highlights of 2024 and celebrate everything that unfolded within our academy.

Student Success 

Our students have always been the heart and soul of The Iver Makeup Academy, and this year was no different. We saw incredible transformations as aspiring makeup and hair artists turned into professionals ready to conquer the industry. From perfecting the art of period and editorial makeup to mastering SFX and prosthetics concepts, our graduates left an indelible mark.

Workshops & Masterclasses

2024 saw a series of exclusive workshops and masterclasses that provided our students and alumni with access to the best in the industry.

Guest Artists: We welcomed globally celebrated makeup artists and industry professionals who shared their expertise, trends, and career advice. Those including, Donald Mowat, Jan Sewell, Paul Gooch, Siân Miller, Nik Buck, Daisy Ridley plus many more!

Hands-On Training: Students had the opportunity to work with real clients, models, and photographers to gain invaluable practical experience.

These opportunities empowered our students to stay ahead of the curve in an ever-changing industry.

Graduates in Blockbuster Films

2024 was a thrilling year for our graduates who made waves in the film and television industries. Many of our alumni had the opportunity to showcase their talents on the sets of major blockbuster productions, contributing to some of the year’s most iconic projects.

Notable highlights include:

Films: Our graduates worked on incredible titles like Wicked, Gladiator II, Deadpool & Wolverine, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Paddington in Peru, Venom: The Last Dance, Dune: Part Two, Bob Marley: One Love, and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire plus so many more!

Television: Alumni also lent their skills to hit TV shows such as Bridgerton, Silo, Slow Horses, House of the Dragon, Doctor Who, The Rings of Power, and cultural events like the BBC Proms.

From prosthetics and sci-fi transformations to historically accurate period makeup to modern day, our graduates played a pivotal role in bringing  these productions and so many more to life on screen.

We couldn’t be prouder of their contributions to these groundbreaking projects and the entertainment industry.

A Glimpse Into 2025

Looking ahead, we’re excited to build on this year’s success with even bigger plans for 2025. Expect new IMA courses, expanded opportunities for hands-on experience, and innovative programs that push the boundaries of the makeup and hair industry.
