With over 30 years of hands-on experience in the hair and make-up industry, Sophia Sestanovich has built a career defined by artistry, innovation, and a deep passion for textured hair. Her journey began long before her work was featured on the sets of Hollyoaks, EastEnders, and Netflix and ITV productions like Drama Queens (2024).
It started with a love for helping people look and feel their best—and quickly grew into a thriving professional life at the heart of British television and beauty. Her work also includes international Session styling for lead haircare brands at London Fashion Week and Canne Film Festival.
Sophia’s expertise in textured hair is more than just technical—it’s rooted in decades of experience, cultural understanding, and dedication. She has not only worked on some of the UK’s most beloved TV shows but has also owned and operated her own Hair Salon and Training Academy, where she mentored countless up-and-coming artists.
Training and teaching have always been at the core of Sophia’s mission. She believes that knowledge should be shared, and that empowering others through education is one of the most rewarding aspects of her career. From beginner stylists to working professionals, she has helped others grow in confidence and skill, particularly in areas that are often overlooked in mainstream training—like the nuances of textured hair care and make-up.
